5 Days from Marrakech To Merzouga desert

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades

Our 4-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes begins at 8 am to travel via Tizin’Tichka (alt 2260 m) across the spectacular High Atlas Mountains. We should rest, explore the Argan oil cooperative and admire spectacular landscapes. We will have the afternoon to tour the UNESCO World Heritage site, Ait Ben Haddou, after lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 2:Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Jorf – Erfoud – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Desert)

Drive back through the valley after breakfast at the hotel to see the amazing rock formation “the monkey toes and Ait Yul’s still-standing 19th-century Kasbah. Going to leave the Dades Valley to Tinrghir and the Todra Valley you will see the breathtaking views of the valley from the ancient Berber mud villages. Arriving at the Gorge, you can travel under the red cliff 300 m high, where many rock climbers come to enjoy their favorite sport. We will continue our journey to Erfoud and Rissani, where we will have lunch, and then we will depart for the village of Merzouga, where you will be greeted with a glass of mint tea before you check in your accommodation.

Day 3Merzouga – Berber Families – Black Desert – Merzouga (Camel Ride & Night in Sahara)

After breakfast at the hotel, you can begin your exploratory journey through the city, visiting the’ village of the blacks,’ originally Sudanese slaves to experience their music and lifestyle. The lake of Merzouga with its species of animals, including flamingos, is not far away you might also like to visit the nomad wire home, where many Berber crafts are less costly than in the big cities.

You can climb your camel on the afternoon, directed by a skilled Camel man, to explore the Erg-Chebbi’s fascinating sand-sea. Here you will spend your first night in a typical Berber nomad tent under the stars, or if you choose to do so. Dinner in the tent where you’ll spend the night will be eaten. Bed and breakfast for dinner.

Day 4:Merzouga – Errissani – Alnif – Nkob – Agdz – Ouarzazate

After watching the sunrise in the desert we head back on the camels to Merzouga after having breakfast and taking a shower in Hotel. Then continue our journey to Ouarzazate through the Berber atlas mountain villages (Alnif, Tazarine, Agdz, Draa Valley) .we arrive in Ouarzazate in evening.

Day 5:Ouarzazate – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After leaving Ouarzazate in the morning, we will be visiting film studios and we will cross the High Atlas Mountains via the 2260 m highest road pass in Morocco TizniTichka, offering spectacular views of nearby valleys, mountains and so many Berber villages and arriving in Marrakech in the evening.
