14 day desert tour from Tanger to Marrakech Itinerary:

Day 1 – Tangier – Chefchaouen

The 14 day desert tour from Tanger start when your driver guide pick you up from the airport, ferry port or hotel, and we’re heading to Chefchaouen, a small fortress town. The buildings and houses are all painted in white and blue and it is one of the most stunning towns in the mountains of Rif. You’ll have time on your own to discover Chefchaouen. We spend the night in medina at the local riad.

Day 2: Chefchaouen tour and free program

During this 14 day desert tour from Tanger you’re going to have free program in this small mountain in Chefchaouen today. It is labeled as one of the most beautiful towns in Morocco and its walls are painted in blue.  Exploring medina in Chefchaouen is indeed very simple. The main square called Utta el-Hammam is located in the heart of the Medina, which is the ideal place to stop for lunch or dinner. We stay overnight at the central riad in Medina.

Day 3 :Chefchaouen – Fes

Our 14 day desert tour from Tanger continues to the old imperial city of Fez. Fes City is also one of Morocco’s first holiest Muslim worship areas. It also has one of the world’s oldest universities. We’re going to explore major tourist destinations and national monuments. You’ll have free time to relax in the afternoon. We’ll stay in the nearby riad-hotel overnight.

Day 4:  Fes tour and free program

We’re going to explore Fes medina today as well as new part of Fes. You can visit many amazing places in the old part of Medina, museums. Fes has been Morocco’s capital for over 300 years. Here we can also discover Al Karaouine University, which is the world’s oldest university. We are also going to visit the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss. Tanneries, Royal Palace, Jewish quarter called Mellah and its synagogue are also a significant part of the city. Our private tour of Morocco in Fes also needs a ceramic factory visit. You’ll have a free program later in the afternoon to explore Fes medina on your own. We stay at the local hotel for overnight stays and dinner.

Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga desert

Our 14 day desert tour from Tanger continues towards the mountain village of Ifrane, also known as Morocco’s Switzerland. We will pause in the middle Atlas Mountains near the cedar forest where you will be able to watch monkeys celebrate their freedom. We continue our trip to the village of Azrou-Berber in Morocco’s largest cedar forest. Then in the summer time we visit Midelt city known for its minerals and cool weather. We’re going to travel through Ziz Valley, and then we’re going to visit Erfoud and its fossils products. We should visit the local souk in Rissani. Later in the afternoon we arrive in the desert of Merzouga where we can stay in the desert hotel this night.

Day 6:  Merzouga desert 4×4 tour and camel trekking

This day will be devoted to the 4-4 vehicle exploration of the Sahara desert. After breakfast, we can explore the dunes and visit some desert oases, including the village of Khamlia, which is popular for its music – the music of Gnaoua. We’re going to visit Berber nomads in the desert later on our private Morocco tour and spend a short period of time with them. Then, we’ll be riding camels into the desert and spending the night in tents in the desert camp. Ultimately, we’re going to have dinner around the campfire and listening to Berber songs and music. It will be an incredible experience you’ll never forget on your private Morocco adventure.

Day 7: Merzouga desert – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

We’ll be watching the sunrise from the high dune today early in the morning and then we’ll continue camel trekking to our Merzouga hotel. We continue our private Morocco tour to Rissani and Erfoud after breakfast and taking a shower. In Erfoud, we can visit fossil marble factory and shops. To begin with, we pass through Tinjdad, Tinghir, and the Todra Gorge will be our next target and destination; It’s the climbers ‘ paradise, you’ll have enough time to explore and discover it on your own. We travel to the Dades Valley in the afternoon, where we will have dinner and overnight stay at the local Riad / hotel.

Day 8: Dades Gorges – KelaaMagona – Skoura – Ouarzazate

Today we begin our private Morocco tour heading to Ouarzazatte. We should visit KelaaM’Gouna, including Valley of the Roses and the Skoura Oasis. In the afternoon we will arrive in Ouarzazate where we will be able to visit movie studios as well as local kasbah. Finally, we stay here in local hotel overnight.

Day 9:  Ouarzazate – Taroudant

After breakfast, our private tour of Morocco continues to Taroudant via Taznakht. We’re going to stop at Taliouine where we’re visiting the Safran co-op. You’re going to see the ramparts in Taroudant and we’re going to walk in the old medina in the tiny alleys. Taroudant’s city is often referred to as the little Marrakech. Ultimately, we stay in Local riad overnight.

Day 10: Taroudant – Essaouira

We’re going to drive to Essaouira today, visiting Agadir. We’re going to stop here for lunch and visit the beautiful beach. Next, we head to Essaouira, which presents breathtaking scenery on this coastal route. This region is known for its products from Argan. We can see goats climbing the Argan trees along the way. Then, we get to Essaouira and stay in the nearby riad overnight.

Day 11: Essaouira tour and free program

Today you’ll get Essoauira’s guided tour. You are going to visit the medina, the port, and the souks. Essaouira is windy throughout the year and is known as “City of the wind”.  To surfers from all over the world, it is an attractive place. An annual music festival  “Gnawa music” also takes place in Essaouira. We stay at a local hotel in Medina for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 12 : Essaouira – Marrakech

Today we start driving from Essaouira to Marrakech,the Red City. Here we will explore its most valuable monuments, attractions and sights. You’ll have a free program to discover the medina yourself, and we’ll stay here overnight at a local hotel.

Day 13: Marrakech tour and free program

Today, our 14 day desert tour from Tanger begins to explore Marrakech. In the morning, we’ll visit the important parts of Medina, such as the Koutoubia Minaret, and then visit the Saadinestomb, Bahia Palace, and the wonderful Menara Gardens, Majorelle Gardens, in the new part of the town named Gueliz. A lot of modern restaurants and coffees can be found here. You’re going to have enough free time to explore Marrakech by yourself in the old part of the city. Finally, we’re staying overnight in the local riad in the medina.

Day 14: Marrakech – airport transfer

Today we will finish the 14 day desert tour from Tanger and drive you to the airport.
